She had a strong faith, which she let be known to us in her final letter to her ‘viewer family’, I was so happy to see that. I myself, want to that you ALL -her family….for SHARING your wife, mother, and grandmother with us all these years. She loved life and doing all that she did in her career, that was plain to see, how enthused she was for creating & helping her viewers to learn. My deepest sympathy to all the Zieman family of Nancy’s….she will be greatly missed by us all and especially you, her own family. My sincerest condolences to her family, her staff, and her friends. I will always cherish every lesson I learned from Nancy, and will do my best to follow her example of how to conduct the remainder of my years. How she was able to so generously share her her vast sewing knowledge and experience through her shows and publications during a time when she was fighting a terminal illness and the debilitating effects of treatment is beyond comprehension! The fortitude, determination, and strength of character it must have taken every day to do her show is humbling and inspiring. And, she never once showed she was in a life threatening battle with cancer, I had no idea. She made me feel creative and confident enough to tackle projects well beyond my sewing experience. Nancy was my first “How to Sew” tv show and I was hooked after a few seconds! She taught me so much about techniques and new and innovative ways to create with my sewing machine.
